Heart Failure

myocorAn innovative device, initially developed to improve left ventricular function in patients with severe cardiac insufficiency, has proven to provide particular advantage in mitral valve insufficiency.

The device, in its current design, may be applied within a percutaneous intervention, as well as through a minimally invasive surgical procedure. The concept in cardiac insufficiency involves a modification of the left heart geometry to improve the Frank-Starling characteristics of the myocardium.

In further clinical development, its potential for resolution of mitrial insuficiency was identified.
