Wounds refractory to treatment for 2-4 weeks are dubbed recalcitrant. Such wounds require stimuli to initiate the healing cascade. The study product composed of cell culture media and electrostatically charged particles were identified to stimulate the granulation process in chronic wounds of different etiologies e.g. venous, diabetic wounds, decubitous ulcers and post trauma/surgery complicated wounds including exposed bones and tendons.
