Minimally invasive robotic surgery has become a successful technology associated with reduced trauma, anesthesia, blood loss, risk of infection resulting in faster recovery and return to productive life. The technology has been applied to many areas of surgical medicine.
TheraGenesis was active in the early development of this technology for use in coronary artery bypass surgery – typically, when using classical surgical procedures, one of the most strenuous surgical procedures for patients. Our contribution resulted in the confirmation of its application in this setting.
